DAFNE Online serves as a comprehensive support resource for individuals managing Type 1 Diabetes who have completed the Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating (DAFNE) course. It offers a range of tools including news updates, community forums, carbohydrate reference lists, and an online blood glucose diary, aimed at enhancing self-management practices.

The DAFNE Online mobile application extends the platform's functionality, enabling users to log blood glucose levels, medication details, and upload this data directly to their online account. Additionally, it provides access to carbohydrate portion information in offline mode for greater convenience during daily activities.

Blood Glucose Diary features include:

• Recording blood glucose measurements, carbohydrate intake, and insulin doses
• Customizable blood glucose targets for different times of day
• Color-coded results indicating whether levels are below, within, or above target ranges
• Automatic synchronization with the user's DAFNE Online account
• A summary view displaying averages, total daily dose (TDD), and other metrics
• Integration with Apple Health app for seamless data sharing of glucose, carbohydrate, and insulin information

The Carbohydrate List feature allows users to:

• Access and search the official DAFNE carbohydrate list directly on their iPhone or iPod Touch
• Use the list offline without requiring an internet connection

Note that usage of the Carbohydrate List does not necessitate a DAFNE Online account; account registration is only required for data synchronization purposes.
